Why is the company name being changed to a GmbH?
The change of name to a GmbH (limited liability company) is part of the process of structuring the company's succession. For the continued existence of a company, it is important that the company's succession is arranged early on. This is precisely what we have achieved at POLAS.
By handing over ownership and management from Holger and Melanie Heck to Prof. Dr. Andreas Del Re in the summer of 2024, the company succession was secured at an early stage and, on the other hand, it was ensured that Holger and Melanie Heck would remain involved with the company in the long term.
The change of name from a GmbH & Co KG to a GmbH is being carried out not least for reasons of reducing complexity. From a legal perspective, all rights and obligations will be transferred automatically and without the consent of POLAS Frankfurt GmbH & Co. KG to POLAS GmbH on January 1, 2025.
What changes will the name change mean for customers and partners?
Apart from the registration number and the VAT and tax ID, nothing will change initially. The contact persons will remain the same, and any contracts concluded in the past will remain in effect.
Of course, we are striving to further develop the company on many levels. For example, we are placing the management team on a broader footing and significantly strengthening the team at the employee level.
The authorized representatives of POLAS GmbH are Prof. Dr. Andreas Del Re (Managing Director), Holger Heck (Authorized Signatory) and Katja Wagner (Authorized Signatory).
In her role as Head of Operations, Melanie Heck manages day-to-day business in the background.
Does the name change require changes at the customer or partner level?
There is no urgent need for our customers to make any changes. We ask our suppliers and other partners to update the master data relating to us in their systems. We will be happy to provide you with an overview of all current data upon request.
Where is POLAS GmbH heading?
POLAS's goal is to be the first point of contact for European security authorities and their employees for all equipment-related questions. Our strong own brand, POLAS, is supported by selected partner brands.
Personalized service is important to us. With our own printing and embroidery department, we can respond to customer requests even at short notice.
